Beto Casella criticized Eliana Guercio on air without knowing she was present.

The host of Bendita,Beto Casella launched harsh criticisms against Eliana Guercio, without knowing that the model was part of the panelists' table on the show  "A la Barbarossa" (Telefe) while he was being interviewed remotely.

The clash occurred when Casella defended his colleague  Edith Hermida from accusations that arose regarding her relationship with other journalists, and from comments that Guercio had also made.

The clash without knowing who was in the studio

While speaking remotely, Casella expressed:  "We don't know how Eliana Guercio is in the media". However, he had no idea that the model was sitting among the panelists while he was giving the interview. The discussion began when Casella mentioned Guercio as one of the people with whom Hermida would have had differences. Upon this mention, Guercio quickly replied: "You've been telling the story Edith told you for a year," she launched firmly.

Casella, surprised by the intervention, replied: "Well, you tell it, let's see?", creating a tense moment on the show hosted by Georgina Barbarrosa.

Why Casella argued with Guercio on air

It all started when Beto Casella was asked about the "conflictive exits from his show." In his response,  he mentioned Eliana Guercio and questioned her presence in the media. The phrase did not go unnoticed and Sergio "Chiquito" Romero's wife reacted with irony: "Do you want me to get up and leave so you can be happy, Beto?", she shot live.

The back and forth that ignited the controversy

Casella tried to downplay the situation by assuring that his comment was a "nonsense." However, Guercio replied more firmly:  "It wasn't nonsense. You've been telling the story Edith Hermida told you for a year, which has nothing to do with reality. I'm not going to tell it because I'm respectful," Guercio shot back.

Without backing down, Casella demanded explanations: "Oh, well! Don't play mysterious. If you label a journalist as malicious, you have to argue." The back and forth between them fueled rumors about the real reasons for Guercio's disassociation from Casella's show.

The tension continued

The clash reached its peak when Casella stated that Guercio was not being called back for Bendita. To which she confidently retorted: "I've known the producer for 20 years, if I wanted to be part of Bendita, I would call the producer". In response to this statement, Beto Casella assured that this was not true, that the producer doesn'thing without consulting him.

Later, on Intrusos (América),Casella referred to the conflict again and clarified his position. "If (Guercio) is not on La 100 and not on Bendita, it's because neither Santiago del Moro nor I want to hire her," he stated, closing the discussion with a strong declaration.
