Buenos Aires's Kirchnerist governor, Axel Kicillof, expressed his discontent with the Casa Rosada for referring to Buenos Aires province as a "bloodbath."
According to Kicillof, it is "mathematically impossible" for homicides to decrease at the national level if the province, which represents nearly half the country, were truly a "bloodbath."
However, this statement seems to ignore the perception of insecurity that Buenos Aires citizens experience daily. The reality on the streets is not always reflected in official statistics, and residents continue to face situations of violence and insecurity that affect their quality of life.
