London assured that Moscow has intensified its digital attacks against the West and warned that European democracies still have not managed to respond effectively.
The intelligence services of the United Kingdom issued a stern warning about Russia's advance in cyberspace and stated that Europe is currently at a disadvantage against the digital offensive driven by Moscow.
According to British officials, the Kremlin is developing a permanent campaign of cyberattacks against governments, critical infrastructure, and Western companies while European democracies still struggle to coordinate an effective defense.
According to the report cited by British media, Russia has significantly intensified its digital operations since the start of the war in Ukraine. The goal would be to politically weaken Europe, create economic destabilization, and affect public trust in Western democratic institutions.

British intelligence maintains that Moscow combines espionage operations, cyber sabotage, and disinformation campaigns through hacker groups linked to the Russian state. Many of these attacks are directed at strategic infrastructures such as power grids, hospitals, financial systems, telecommunications, and government agencies.
One of the points that most concerns London is that Russia would be using cyberspace as a parallel front of permanent war against the West, even outside the traditional military field. British officials believe that Europe reacted late to this threat and that there are still enormous weaknesses in coordination and technological defense among allied countries.
In recent months, several European countries have reported digital incidents attributed to Russia. Germany, Poland, France, and the Baltic states reported espionage operations, information leaks, and attacks against sensitive public and private systems.
The NATO summit
The United Kingdom has called for accelerating technological and military cooperation within NATO to face this scenario. They argue that Russia has managed to develop a highly sophisticated hybrid warfare structure that combines conventional military pressure, digital propaganda, and coordinated cyber operations.
Meanwhile, tensions between Russia and the West continue to escalate not only in Ukraine but also in other strategic areas such as intelligence, technology, energy, and digital security. For London, cyberspace has already become one of the main arenas of global confrontation, and Europe still faces enormous difficulties in responding with the same offensive and defensive capacity as Moscow.
