The brutal aggression in amateur basketball that ended in a permanent expulsion
The serious incident occurred in the Bahía Blanca Basketball League, where a player was kicked in the back while he was unconscious
A regrettable incident took place in the Bahía Blanca Amateur Basketball League when Claudio Ramírez ended up collapsing and had to be transported unconscious to a hospital after suffering a violent assault that included a kick to the head.
According to information published by BHInfo, Ramírez was caught off guard by a punch from behind that caused him to lose consciousness while he was on the court. At that very moment, the aggressor, identified as Matías Madami, delivered a kick to the head while the victim lay on the ground.

Players from both teams immediately intervened to separate the striker and alerted the medical staff, who quickly arrived to assist Ramírez, who remained hospitalized for several hours. Although he didn't suffer serious injuries, he will have to undergo medical check-ups for several weeks.
"During the game, I ran into someone from the other team, we went face to face and this big guy came from behind, punched me on the right side, which knocked me out, left me unconscious on the floor, and then kicked me in the head there," Ramírez recounted in an audio that went viral on social media, adding: "This was told to me, I don't remember anything."
He also commented: "He kicked me in the nape where he left a mark and I have cervical inflammation." To conclude: "They did a CT scan, they didn't do any X-rays or anything, to see what's up. This guy is reckless, he could have killed me," concluded the victim, who has already filed a criminal complaint against Madami.

The aggressor's message and the victim's response
Hours after the violent episode, Matías Madami tried to justify his actions through a WhatsApp message sent to Ramírez: "Hello Claudio! I'm Matías from all in! First of all, I apologize for reacting and hitting. You just hit my brother-in-law and I jumped to defend him, the only thing is I apologize a thousand times because I was wrong, and I'm at your disposal for whatever you need! I hope you understand."
Still angry, Ramírez replied bluntly: "Dude, I really don't know why you're writing to me, I don't know how you have the nerve. Kicking me on the floor already unconscious after the punch you gave me. You have no common sense, you could have killed me."
He continued: "Besides, for hitting your brother-in-law. I just went face to face with him. Everyone saw what happened. I'm sorry for you but you already have the criminal complaint filed. You'll think twice next time. You broke my whole face and now I have to do head check-ups. Don't write to me anymore."

The definitive expulsion
Facundo Retondo, spokesperson for the League, stated in declarations to La Nueva that "the disciplinary committee made the appropriate sanctions. The first thing we did was make ourselves available to the victim and then we decided to expel him from participating in our league."
Through an official statement, the organizers expressed their support for Claudio Ramírez and strongly condemned all forms of violence in sports. "This space was conceived as a place for recreation and gathering, which over time became more competitive. No act of violence that contradicts the spirit of this league can be justified," they stated in a note sent to the delegates of the participating teams.
