The Minister of National Security and former head of PRO, Patricia Bullrich, will formalize her incorporation into La Libertad Avanza, the party of President Javier Milei, during an event that will be led by the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and the presidential spokesperson, Manuel Adorni.

The affiliation will be signed at 6 PM in an iconic square in the City of Buenos Aires, according to party sources. Bullrich, who was the last presidential candidate of Juntos por el Cambio, led PRO until early 2024, when she distanced herself from the space after differences with the social-democratic former president Mauricio Macri.

The announcement, which had been anticipated by journalist Eduardo Feinmann on Radio Mitre, comes less than two weeks before the elections scheduled for the upcoming May 18 in the capital.

Patricia Bullrich is one of the most valued figures by President Javier Milei and keeps a close political alignment with Karina Milei, Secretary General of the Presidency and responsible for the official electoral organization at the national level.

After being left out of the runoff in the 2023 elections, Bullrich chose to support La Libertad Avanza, accompanied by her then running mate, Luis Petri, current Minister of Defense. The former presidential candidate gave her public support unconditionally before the so-called Acassuso Pact, in which Milei and Macri agreed to join forces to defeat the Kirchnerist Sergio Massa.

Bullrich's formal incorporation into the ranks of LLA coincides with a political context in which her opponent in the PASO, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, is competing with a separate list from PRO.

In the City of Buenos Aires, the campaign team of La Libertad Avanza, led by Buenos Aires legislator Pilar Ramírez, organized the affiliation event as part of the electoral strategy. Bullrich has been one of the first members of the national Cabinet to join the tours alongside Karina Milei and Manuel Adorni.

President Milei is also active in the campaign. Last week he participated in an event in Villa Lugano and got directly involved in the electoral dispute. One of the most repeated slogans in the campaign is: “Adorni is Milei”.
