The national government will apply a new increase in bus fares that run in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA).
The update will begin to take effect on February 18 and will reach 104 lines under national jurisdiction, with an initial increase of 31.35% in the minimum fare.
In March, the accumulated adjustment will reach 41.46% compared to the value in force until now.
La actualización de tarifas consistirá en dos partes, con un ajuste en febrero y otro en marzo
The measure was presented by the Secretariat of Transportation on February 9 and went through a stage of citizen participation before its implementation.
The new scheme keeps both the Social Fare and the Red SUBE benefits.
How much will the fare cost starting February 18?
Starting on Wednesday, February 18, the minimum fare (0 to 3 kilometers) will cost $650 with a registered SUBE card. For those who do not have a personalized card, the price will be considerably higher.

The Social Fare and Red SUBE are maintained
The new fare schedule doesn't modify the current benefits. The Social Fare will continue to grant a 55% discount for retirees, pensioners, AUH beneficiaries, domestic workers, and other eligible groups.
Meanwhile, Red SUBE will continue to operate, which allows discounts on transfers made within two hours and includes buses, trains, and subways in the Metropolitan Area.
