CABA will retain part of the proceeds from the charity match of the Argentina National Team.

The City Government, led by Jorge Macri, will charge AFA for the security operation

The City of Buenos Aires will keep part of what was collected in the charity match between the Argentina National Team and the U-20 for the victims of Bahía Blanca.

The district police under Jorge Macri's management decided to charge for the security operation, equating it with those deployed in local tournaments or international cups held in CABA. This was reported by the Argentine Football Association (AFA), which expects to receive the corresponding invoice on Monday to announce the final amount collected.

This unsupportive measure is completely contrary to that of other areas that participated in the initiative. For example, the broadcasters paid a special fee and shared the broadcasting rights to increase the collection, while Huracán lent the Adolfo Ducó stadium for the match and the workers of UTEDYC (Union of Workers of Sports and Civil Entities) did not charge for the day.

The AFA published a statement indicating: "The Argentine Football Association informs that the total collection of the charity event held at Huracán will be reported this Monday after the final settlement related to tickets sold, sponsor, and broadcasting is made".

Additionally, it added: "Furthermore, the detail of the deduction of the corresponding amount paid to the city police for the provided operation will be specified".

All that was collected from this friendly match between the National Team and the U-20, which ended 2-0 in favor of the senior team, will be destined for the Penna Hospital to help those affected by the floods caused by the heavy rains at the beginning of the month.
