The reconstruction of the institutions of the Homeland is advancing firmly alongside an unprecedented process of modernization of military education. Driven by the clear directive of the government of Javier Milei to revalue and elevate our security forces, the Ministry of Defense, through the Secretariat of Strategy and Military Affairs and the National Directorate of Training, continues to deepen the pedagogical and technological transformation in the pre-university establishments of the Armed Forces.

This profound restructuring of military learning —which began to take shape in the year 2024 and was fully consolidated in 2025— aims to harmoniously integrate the rich tradition and patriotic values of the Military Lyceums with the essential technical demands of the contemporary global landscape.

This qualitative leap is governed by the strict legal framework of resolution 795 of 2024, a norm that gave life to the rigorous and innovative "Lyceums 2030: Educational Excellence, Military Discipline, and Leadership Training".

As part of this ambitious strategic planning conceived to eliminate the educational lag of the past, national authorities designed a military hierarchy scheme initiated at the end of 2025 and developed exhaustively throughout the year 2026.

The supreme objective of this sovereign initiative is to ensure the accelerated professionalization of young cadets, guaranteeing that they graduate with real tactical and technical leadership capabilities for the 21st century.

Diving into the curricular details of the program, the cutting-edge training demands a commitment to high academic performance. Currently, the Military Lyceums of the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force are focused on delivering the new Basic Drone Pilot Training Program (VANT/SVANT).

This new requirement includes more than 50 hours annually of minimum content development. The demanding pedagogical path consists of five main subjects and five complementary ones, meticulously structured around the following key axes:

General concepts of the material.

Regulatory framework and regulations.

Operational safety management.

Performance.

Flight planning and load.

Specific operation of drones.

The most tangible phase of this military educational milestone will materialize in the coming days with a historic logistical deployment of equipment. The Ministry of Defense will complete the effective delivery of a total of 135 drones that will be distributed across various establishments throughout the country.

Far from being an isolated event, this delivery of high-tech material sets an unparalleled strategic precedent and constitutes the real reference for the Military Lyceums to begin their individual acquisitions of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (VANT) in the short term. This will allow them to autonomously expand their local operational capabilities and consolidate a modern and self-sufficient training system.

As a result of this impeccable management, starting in September, all cadets in 4th and 5th year (as well as those in Vto and VIto year from the three forces, according to each institutional plan) will graduate from secondary school with the prestigious certification and formal training as a drone pilot.

This revolutionary technical qualification will directly accompany the Reserve rank traditionally granted by the Armed Forces upon completion of secondary studies. In this way, the national government categorically strengthens the role of the future reserve officer within the strengthened National Defense System. With order, discipline, and sovereign technology, the Argentine Republic regains the excellence that previous neglect had taken away.
