Paraguayan national senator Celeste Amarilla did not go unnoticed this Wednesday when she arrived at Congress wearing an outfit that paid tribute to the Spanish national team. The Iberian team had just eliminated France in the semifinals of the 2026 World Cup, and she did not hide her satisfaction.
With a broad smile, Amarilla explained her choice of yellow and red colors. She said it was a clear tribute to the Motherland that had defeated Kylian Mbappé's team. The jacket was from a well-known brand and the rest from another Spanish store.
This appearance comes amid a strong controversy that the legislator starred in days earlier with the French forward. Her remarks generated outrage even from the Paraguayan government.
The senator did not hesitate to describe the result as a deserved karma for Mbappé. "Karma has arrived for Mbappé. The Paraguayan Karma," she expressed mischievously to the media.

The 27-year-old forward called her a "despicable woman unworthy of her position." In response, the senator spoke of gender violence and even threatened to sue him, although she later retracted some comments. She asked that he also apologize.
