
Celestial Guardians: Pokémon TCG Pocket launches new expansion based on Alola
The undisputed protagonists of the set are Solgaleo EX and Lunala EX. All the details
The Pokémon Company officially announced the arrival of the new expansion set for its digital card game, Pokémon TCG Pocket, titled Celestial Guardians. This update, focused on the Alola region, will be available starting April 30, 2025, and will bring a wide range of new cards, thematic challenges, and rewards for players.
This new set follows Shining Festival, a collection centered on Shiny Pokémon, and succeeds Spacetime Struggle and Triumphant Light, previous series that explored other regions of the Pokémon universe like Sinnoh.

Alola returns with Solgaleo, Lunala, and the three starters
Celestial Guardians is inspired by the universe of Pokémon Sun and Moon (Nintendo 3DS), also including content from Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
"The new set focuses on the most iconic Pokémon of Alola, incorporating regional forms and EX cards of the legendaries", explained The Pokémon Company in its announcement.

The undisputed protagonists of the set are Solgaleo EX and Lunala EX, although Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio, the starters of this tropical region, also return. Among the novelties, regional forms like Alolan Raichu EX, Alolan Marowak, and Alolan Meowth stand out, all with exclusive illustrations.
New cards, items, and trainers
In addition to the Pokémon, the set adds classic trainers from the region like Kiawe, Captain Nereida, Lillie, Liam, and Acerola, as well as items like Rare Candy and RotomDex.

- Rowlet, Litten, Popplio

Exclusive events, missions, and rewards
The update will include new missions, challenges, and special events from April 30, extending until May 28. During that period, players will be able to participate in battles to obtain exclusive cards like Rayquaza EX.
Additionally, from May 1, decorative items with Rowlet themes will be available, including a special album cover and a showcase background to customize the game.

The game continues to expand its universe on mobile
Pokémon TCG Pocket, available on iOS and Android devices, continues to add content in line with its strategy of maintaining community interest through periodic expansions.
With Celestial Guardians, the title deepens its offering for fans of the franchise, with high-impact visual cards and new collection and battle mechanics.
