Peixe is fighting to avoid relegation in the Brasileirao, and BlueCo, led by Todd Boehly, is negotiating its acquisition to expand in South America

Neymar's Santos is going through a sporting crisis that puts its permanence in the Brazilian First Division at risk. In this context, BlueCo, the business group that owns Chelsea and Racing de Strasbourg, has shown interest in purchasing the São Paulo club and consolidating its presence in South America, according to journalist Lucas Musetti Perazolli.

BlueCo, led by American magnate Todd Boehly, already held meetings with Peixe in July and there is optimism that the deal will be finalized. The purchase would involve a financial injection aimed at improving the sporting performance of the Brazilian team.

A key fact is that, if the purchase is completed, the club would have the legal obligation to become a SAD (Sociedade Anônima Desportiva), the format that allows clubs to operate as for-profit corporations, ensuring accounting transparency and the participation of private investors.

The group's strategy focuses on Chelsea and uses the French team as a destination for players who do not have a place in the first team. For example, Ben Chilwell, Mamadou Sarr, Mike Penders, Kendry Páez, and Mathis Amougou moved from the Blues to the Blanquiazules.

In addition to these operations, BlueCo has invested in the Brazilian market with recent signings such as Estevao Willian (from Palmeiras) and, in the last two years, Deivid Washington, Ángelo from Peixe, and Andry Santos (from Vasco Da Gama).

Santos's current situation in the Brasileirao

Currently, Peixe is in 16th place in the Brasileirao with 22 points and, for now, the goal difference against Vitória keeps it out of the direct relegation zone. On the next matchday, it will visit Atlético Mineiro on Sunday, September 14 at 4:00 p.m.
