A strong clash between Chiche Gelblung and Matilde Badini on Radio del Plata ended with the panelist's resignation on air. The host confronted her during a conversation about mental health, and the discussion escalated to her definitive departure from the program.
A debate that ended in scandal
The conflict began when Badini expressed her opinion on the duration of psychoanalytic treatments: "Two years with a psychoanalyst do nothing." Gelblung replied with irony: "Well, fine, you're a psychoanalyst."
Badini clarified that she was speaking from her personal experience as a patient, but the host reacted annoyed: "Is it possible that you want to know everything? You can't know everything!" The panelist didn't stay silent and fired back: "I don't like listening to nonsense." In response, Gelblung asked her to leave: "Well, then leave if you don't like it. You can leave. Leave if you don't want to listen to nonsense."
Amidst shouting, the journalist accused her of being insolent and demanded respect: "Don't offend for no reason, insolent. You're insolent, at least respect the hierarchy."
Matilde Badini's resignation live
Although the program continued normally, before it ended, Badini asked to speak to say goodbye: "I thank you for all the time I was here. I'm an inexperienced addition, I'm not a journalist. I tried to contribute small things but from the heart."
Finally, she made it clear that her decision was final: "I can't return after this afternoon's mistreatment, I feel dismissed." Meanwhile, Gelblung closed the show without commenting on the resignation.
