Eduardo Coudet starred in one of the particular moments of the draw between River and Independiente Santa Fe. The team led by the Argentine coach drew 0-0 in Bogotá, in the first leg of the round of 16 of the 2026 Copa Sudamericana, in a match that had as one of its focal points the exchange between the coach and Rafael Santos Borré.
Coudet had already shared a squad with the Colombian forward during his time at Inter de Porto Alegre, but this time the relationship was exposed during the match by a strong reprimand from the bench.

At one point in the match, the River coach called out to Borré about his position on the field and shouted several instructions for him to change his location.
“¡Rafa! ¡Rafa! ¡Dale! ¡Dale! Go to the inside part. ¡Get it inside! ¡Damn it! ¡Hey, shut your c…! ¡Shut your c…, damn it!”, was heard from the coach on the substitutes' bench.
