The Las Flores neighborhood, in the southernmost part of Córdoba Capital, is in mourning after the death of a player who was only 13 years old during a training session at the San Lorenzo club.
On the same fields where, a few years ago, the national team star Cristian "Cuti" Romero emerged, Amadeo Ruiz collapsed and later passed away.
When the officers arrived at the club, they found a coach who was trying to resuscitate the minor, who had collapsed for reasons that are under investigation.
Emergency personnel assisted the young boy and transported him to the Hospital de Niños (Children's Hospital), accompanied by a police security cordon.
There, the doctors confirmed the death and diagnosed sudden death during sports practice.
