The launch of MasterChef Celebrity 2025 quickly sparked controversy. An unexpected internal conflict between Maxi López and Wanda Nara has already caused a stir at Telefe and promises to keep making headlines.
According to reports on A la Tarde (América TV), the conflict is allegedly linked to a supposed financial breach that left the former player upset with the host.

Maxi López's complaint against Wanda Nara
Before the official filming, participants receive express training to learn basic cooking techniques. For these sessions, celebrities receive a set payment, but López claims he never received that money.
Journalist Daniel Fava explained on A la Tarde that Telefe didn't accept the initial fee requested by the former player. Wanda then reportedly intervened and promised to cover the difference with a sponsor. However, the agreement was allegedly not fulfilled.
A verbal million-dollar contract
"She promised, but didn't deliver and the money is nowhere to be found", Fava said about the agreement between López and Nara. The lack of payment ignited the season's first major internal conflict, even before filming began.
