Luzu TV found itself at the center of a new controversy after Momi Giardina impersonated Erling Haaland during a live broadcast of "Nadie dice nada". The comedian appeared dressed with a blonde wig and the Norway national team jersey, recreating the forward's movements as she walked around the studio.
The portrayal, in which she exaggerated the way the footballer walks and awkwardly interacted with the set's furniture, was harshly criticized by numerous users on social media, who labeled it as a disrespectful act towards the striker.
The criticism also reached Nicolás Occhiato, Martín Garabal, and Santi Talledo, who accompanied the scene with laughter during the broadcast.
The episode quickly went viral and sparked an intense debate about the limits of humor. Days earlier, Giardina herself had mentioned on air that she found the physical comparisons with Haaland amusing, which is why she decided to take that idea to a full impersonation in the following program.
The controversy was also addressed by journalists and television hosts. Among them, Luis Majul considered it not to be a case of bullying, but rather "a bad joke", while Esteban Trebucq questioned the sketch and stated that he did not find it funny.
Amid the fallout, social media posts began circulating claiming that Haaland's legal representatives would initiate legal action against Luzu TV and Momi Giardina for using the footballer's image and name in a mocking manner.
However, so far there is no official confirmation to support that version. Neither the Norwegian forward's camp nor his official social media profiles have issued statements regarding this, nor have there been any comments on the matter in his recent public appearances.
