Between last Thursday and Sunday, the 79th Rural Expo organized by the Rural Society of Jesús María took place, a massive event that attracted around 40,000 people in northern Córdoba.
More than 270 breeders from prestigious regional farms participated during the judging of different species and breeds.
Cattle Category
In the Angus breed, the award for Grand Champion Male was won by Cabaña Las Coloradas (Río Cuarto), owned by the estate of Aroldo José Falco.
In the judging of lots of the same breed, the rosette for Grand Champion of Lot 102 (RP2) went to Cabaña Los Gringos (General Deheza), represented by Facundo Rizo.
In the Hereford breed, the Catholic University of Córdoba stood out through Cabaña Santa Julia, achieving the distinction of Grand Champion Male in Lot 12 (RPX 1007) and crowning the Grand Champion Female of the breed in Lot 13.
In the Limousin breed, the Grand Champion Male title went to Box 107 (RPX 27), belonging to Cabaña La Esmeralda (General Pinto, Buenos Aires province), owned by Martínez Arenaza e Hijos.

Meanwhile, the rosette for Grand Champion Female was awarded to Cabaña Santa Isabel (Castelli, Buenos Aires province), owned by Nélida Vázquez.
In the San Ignacio breed, Cabaña Santa Julia from the Catholic University of Córdoba once again achieved the highest honor by winning the title of Grand Champion Male.
In the Braford breed, Cabaña Doña Evangelina del Norte Cordobés SRL (Sumampa, Santiago del Estero) won the award for Grand Champion Male, while the distinction for Grand Champion Female was awarded to Cabaña El Porvenir (Quilino), owned by Walter Orodá.
In the Brangus breed, the main awards were shared among the same firms: Cabaña El Porvenir, owned by Walter Orodá, won Grand Champion Male with the breeder from Lot 6 (RP 12755), while the distinction for Grand Champion Female was awarded to Cabaña Doña Evangelina del Norte Cordobés SRL.
The Limangus breed, for its part, crowned Cabaña El Engaño (Las Varillas), owned by Rodolfo Ariel Mir, as the absolute winner by securing both Grand Champion Male and Grand Champion Female.

In the Dorper Black breed, the award for Grand Champion Male was given to Cabaña Don Ariel (Rosales), owned by Ariel Panicheni, while the title of Grand Champion Female went to Cabaña Unelén, from Managro SRL, located in Venado Tuerto (Santa Fe).
In the Dorper White breed, Cabaña Unelén also won the distinction of Grand Champion Male, while the Grand Champion Female was awarded to Cabaña El Mate (Adelia María), owned by Federico Vasquetto.
In the Texel breed, Cabaña La Soñada (Tránsito), owned by Javier Víctor Aliendro, achieved remarkable performance by winning the main rosettes for Grand Champion Male and Grand Champion Female.
