Cutting-edge technology against cancer
The equipment added includes the PET/CT Siemens Biograph Horizon, which locates oncological lesions with precision, and the Spect/CT Siemens Symbia Pro.specta Q3, which reduces the radioactive dose by 50%.
The Cyclotron Iba Cyclone® KIUBE was also added, designed to produce radiopharmaceuticals for PET diagnosis. The equipment is located in a high-security bunker with walls 7.87 feet (2.4 meters) thick.
These developments have Anmat approval and position Córdoba among the few provinces offering theragnosis, a non-invasive oncological therapy.
Oulton anunció que en dos años construirá un nuevo centro de diagnóstico en avenida Rafael Núñez , con una inversión estimada en U$S 4 millones.
Expansion into northern Córdoba
Oulton announced that in two years he will build a new diagnostic center on Rafael Núñez Avenue, with an estimated investment of $4 million. It will be a complex of 26,910 to 32,292 square feet (2,500 to 3,000 m²), with specialized professionals and an area for ongoing medical training.
The initiative is part of the private health hub in northern Córdoba, where Hospital Privado and Sanatorio Allende are already operating. According to Oulton, the growth responds to increased demand for diagnostic imaging.
Currently, Instituto Oulton receives 60,000 patients per month, has 720 staff members, and offers more than 20 medical and surgical specialties.

The private healthcare market in Argentina
Carlos Oulton emphasized that under Javier Milei's administration, the slowdown in inflation has reduced the real value of private health plans. This has caused more competition among providers.
The sector faces ongoing tension in human resources, since professionals often work multiple jobs to combine public stability with better private income. On average, salaries in private healthcare exceed those in the public sector by more than 25%.
In addition, the entry of Chinese medical technology is displacing European and U.S. suppliers, with prices 10% to 15% lower and similar financing.
