In a Córdoba shaken by daily insecurity, a different story managed to move people and highlight the value of police work. Zami, an eight-month-old golden retriever, was stolen on Monday from the yard of her home in the Granja de Funes neighborhood. Her owner, Emanuel, noticed the theft after hearing the gate open, looked for his pet, and immediately alerted the police.

Several hours of desperation passed until around 6:00 p.m., Emanuel received a call that gave him hope again. A patrol officer informed him that they had found Zami, who was seen in the IPV Argüello neighborhood, just a few blocks from her home. According to police sources, the animal hadn't gotten lost: she had been stolen and taken by unknown individuals to that area.

The videos of the incident

Zami was transported by the officers in the police vehicle back to her home, in a brief but effective operation that was captured on video. In the footage, the dog can be seen in the officer's arms, showering him with kisses as a sign of affection before reuniting with her owner. The moment was emotional and caused a wave of positive comments on social media and local news outlets.

Emanuel, visibly moved, publicly thanked the officers for their actions and the swift operation carried out. When Zami arrived, both shared a tender embrace, reflecting the bond between people and animals. The story, set against a general context of social concern, had a happy ending and was recorded in videos that quickly spread on social media.
