Córdoba: a quebracho tree is removed despite the environmentalists' fierce confrontation
In Villa Allende, the authorities restored order and removed the tree for the strategic layout of Lucchese Avenue
Finally, the quebracho tree on Pedro Lucchese Avenue in Villa Allende was removed, in favor of progress and against what a handful of outrageous environmentalists wanted.
Now it will be relocated to another area so it won't be in the way. This is the species that was located in the middle of the road that was being widened. This is not just any road.

This is a strategic route that connects the towns of Sierras Chicas and the city of Córdoba.
The madness of Córdoba's environmentalists over a tree in Villa Allende
Madness. Through a court injunction, the road company had to wait until this Tuesday to remove the tree.
There were even environmentalists who camped out and chained themselves to the quebracho tree.

The dispute over the tree's permanence had all kinds of chapters, including the rejection of a court injunction and, in the final stage, with camps embracing the noble specimen and people who, despite the intense cold, had chained themselves to it.
The judiciary, about to detain environmentalists in Villa Allende
On Tuesday morning, judicial personnel managed to get the last people who "defended" the position to leave, after threatening them with arrest if they did not desist.
In that context, the final phase of removal began, which involved deep digging, with the expectation of obtaining the maximum root volume possible before its transfer to what would be, in the unlikely event of survival, the quebracho tree's new location.
Reports due to the environmentalists' senselessness
"Two reports have been made regarding road safety and the need to clear the area in order to continue with the work of relocating that tree for the continuation of the project," said Secretary of Government Felipe Crespo.
"It's like a patient whose life is at risk due to some autoimmune disease or cancer; expectations are not lost, the greatest efforts are made, and we hope it will be saved," he added.
