IFA 2026 showcased new cameras between smartphones and professional models
One of the segments that gained presence at IFA 2026 was that of cameras aiming to position themselves between professional equipment and smartphones.
The fair also displayed more 360-degree cameras and models with gimbals capable of functioning as action cameras.
Among the proposals were smartphones with detachable cameras and devices aimed at video recording with stabilization.
Lenovo Project Swan: a notebook with an expandable screen
Lenovo Project Swan was one of the standout PC concepts at the fair. It is an ultrabook with a screen that can expand.
The prototype is less than 18 millimeters thick and weighs 3.5 pounds. Its screen can extend up to 17 inches.
The design aims to offer a larger work surface without resorting to vertically expandable notebook formats.
Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe competes with budget notebooks
The Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe was presented as an entry-level notebook with a price of US$700.
The device allows choosing between a Qualcomm Snapdragon X processor or AMD Ryzen AI 400 chips.
It also includes four USB ports, with two USB-A and two USB-C, in addition to a microSD reader and HDMI connection.
Hohem EyePic: a 4K camera with a detachable module
Hohem EyePic is the first independent camera from the company, known primarily for its gimbal accessories.
The device can record in 4K at 60 fps and features a camera module that can be detached.
The camera is water-resistant and can be used with a strap or magnetically attached to a metal surface. The touch screen on the mount allows for image previewing from up to 30 feet away.
Dyson CameraJet adds technology to dental care
Dyson CameraJet was another standout device during IFA 2026. The toothbrush incorporates technology aimed at dental care.
During the fair, Dyson showcased various demonstrations, with a special focus on directed water dental washing.
Anker Nano Universal Charger charges up to four devices
The Anker Nano Universal Charger is a travel charger capable of powering notebooks and Nintendo Switch consoles, among other devices.
