Guaymallén has become the epicenter of security in Mendoza following the inauguration of two federal headquarters: one for the National Gendarmerie and another for the Argentine Federal Police (PFA). The first is located in the Puente de Hierro district, while the second was established in front of the Municipality. Both buildings were provided by the municipality and refurbished to ensure operational functionality.
The ceremony took place on September 29 with the presence of the Minister of National Security, Patricia Bullrich; the Minister of Defense, Luis Petri; Governor Alfredo Cornejo; Mayor Marcos Calvente, and various provincial, judicial, and legislative authorities.
Joint work between Nation, Province, and Municipality
Mayor Calvente highlighted the shared effort: "Today Guaymallén is witnessing two success stories that will bring better security conditions for residents, for the people of Mendoza, and for all of western Argentina."

In the same vein, Governor Cornejo emphasized that the municipal investment was key to achieving the inaugurations. Meanwhile, Petri stressed that interjurisdictional coordination is essential to confront drug trafficking and guarantee the freedom and security of Argentines.
Security and the fight against organized crime
Patricia Bullrich highlighted that the new PFA headquarters in Guaymallén is the first dedicated to the Federal Department of Investigations in the province. "This building is not just cement and bricks; it's a symbol of the commitment we've made to every citizen of Mendoza," she stated.
