Pokémon TCG Pocket has officially introduced B1a: Crimson Fire, the first expansion focused on mega evolutions within the new digital collectible card format. As expected, the release will be on December 17, accompanied by a preview featuring images, attack details, and promotional cards.
This is a significant expansion for the game: it not only introduces new mechanics, but also brings back some of the franchise's most popular creatures. Mega-Venusaur ex, Mega-Blastoise ex, and Mega-Charizard Y ex quickly became the most discussed cards within the community.
So far, The Pokémon Company has confirmed 29 cards, although a much broader complete list is expected at launch. The set includes Pokémon, mega evolutions, event cards, Full Art illustrations, and new Trainers.

What to expect on launch day
Although the expansion has already showcased a considerable portion of cards, The Pokémon Company still needs to reveal the full set. With the prominence of mega evolutions and the variety of event cards, Crimson Fire aims to become one of the most attractive expansions in the new digital ecosystem.
Additionally, combinations like Ripening Extract with Mega-Venusaur ex are already generating excitement in the competitive community, which is shaping strategies even before knowing the final collection.
