Cristina sent the party members away from her residence and sent them to Parque Lezama.
The request was made through a message shared on social media by the corrupt former president
The former president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner requested on Thursday that her supporters not gather in front of her residence in the Constitución neighborhood of Buenos Aires, and asked them to redirect their demonstrations of support to the auditorium located in Parque Lezama.
The request was made through a message shared on social media, after police barricades were once again set up in front of her house, as part of a security operation that the leader described as "illegal" and motivated by an alleged "provocation."
"I really wanted to see you and greet you for the strength you give me. But the best and most intelligent thing, for what will be a long march over time, is that—please, I ask you—redirect the rally you had organized and go to the Parque Lezama auditorium," Fernández de Kirchner stated in her post, adding: "Which is also a beautiful place and there is a wonderful Peronist sun."
The former head of state also criticized the police operation set up near her home. "Patricia Bullrich set up a police operation at my doorstep with the sole purpose of provoking conflicts that, so far, have never happened," she claimed in the same message, despite the fact that numerous conflicts have occurred because of the Kirchnerist activists, especially with local residents.
Since early hours, Cristina Kirchner's activists had self-organized through social media to hold a rally in support of Kirchnerism, coinciding with Flag Day. The original call was in front of Fernández de Kirchner's residence, but after her message, several groups began to move toward Parque Lezama, where activities are already being organized.
The police maintain a preventive deployment in the vicinity of both Cristina Fernández's residence and the park. It is expected that during the day there will be speeches by Kirchnerist leaders, as well as a message from the former PJ leader, who ceased to be so after the corruption conviction that disqualified her for life.
