Road safety: the Federal Police placed an electronic ankle monitor on Cristina Kirchner
The device was installed in his apartment located in the Monserrat neighborhood of Buenos Aires
The Argentine Federal Police entered Cristina Fernández de Kirchner's residence on Wednesday to place an electronic ankle monitor, in compliance with the order issued by the Federal Oral Court 2.
The procedure is part of the conditions set for the former vice president to serve house arrest ordered in the Vialidad case, in which she was sentenced to six years in prison and permanently disqualified from holding public office.

The device was installed in her apartment located in the Monserrat neighborhood of Buenos Aires, where she has remained since the court ordered house arrest. The measure had been made official days earlier by judges Rodrigo Giménez Uriburu and Jorge Gorini, who also clarified that the former president could use the balcony of her residence, as long as it doesn't interfere with the purposes of electronic monitoring.
Compliance with judicial conditions

The placement of the electronic ankle monitor is one of the conditions imposed by the court for the effective enforcement of house arrest. Additionally, TOF 2 had ordered supervision by the Program for Assistance to Persons Under Electronic Surveillance of the Ministry of Justice.
The Federal Police acted under this directive, guaranteeing both the installation of the tracking system and the integrity of the procedure.
