Delirious: Maduro threatened Trump with armed conflict if the U.S. invades Venezuela

After President Donald Trump warned that he will not tolerate military provocations that threaten the safety of U.S. personnel currently deployed in the Caribbean region to combat drug trafficking, Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro threatened to enter a stage of "armed struggle."

In a national broadcast, during the presentation of squads belonging to the "citizen militias"—which are generally composed of elderly people and poorly trained and armed regime activists—Maduro said that if Venezuela "were attacked," the country would move to a stage of "planned armed struggle, involving all the people."

The dictator repeated that the anti-drug naval operation ordered by Trump represents "a plan for violent regime change in Venezuela and throughout Latin America." As the minutes passed, the usurper of the Miraflores Palace softened his belligerent tone, clarifying that his government is asking for "respect" in diplomatic talks.

Maduro is playing with fire.

On Thursday, in response to a U.S. surgical strike that killed 11 drug traffickers in Caribbean waters, Maduro attempted a poor show of force by having two F-16 jets acquired in the 1980s fly over the destroyer USS Jason Dunham, a vessel that is part of the military deployment.

Although Secretary of War Pete Hegseth later clarified that the Venezuelan aircraft were not actually over the destroyer, Trump did not take this provocation lightly. The president instructed Dan Caine, head of the United States Armed Forces, to shoot down these fighter jets if they endanger the troops.

Regime authorities lamented the death of the 11 narco-terrorists that Trump eliminated, who belonged to the criminal organization Tren de Aragua. This attack marks the beginning of the U.S. offensive, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio stating in advance that this will not be the only military action to be taken against cartel activity in the region.

Maduro, leader of the Cartel of the Suns, claims that his government "combats drug trafficking and is winning that fight", while he is the subject of a $50 million arrest warrant from the U.S. justice system for being a narco-terrorist.
