The violent picketers were seen with various insignias representing different left-wing movements, such as Palestinian flags, Black Lives Matter slogans, or Antifa and distinctive communist symbols, among others.
These events occurred as a result of a series of arrests that the U.S. immigration control service (ICE) carried out in recent days, so the leftist rebels sought to interfere in the center where those detainees were transferred in order to free them.
At least 45 people were detained by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during raids in Los Angeles, according to preliminary reports. The operations were reportedly carried out in public places such as retail stores, residential complexes, federal courts, among others.
ICE confirmed that "all foreigners in violation of immigration law may be arrested and subject to removal," without providing further details. The FBI participated in the operations in coordination with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and under orders from the Attorney General.
After the picketers were unsuccessful through conventional methods, they began to destroy public property and attempt to enter the facility by force. As a result, police forces had to intervene, even using riot gear and pepper spray in an attempt to deter the protesters.
