In a new day of violence in front of the National Congress, the federal security forces deployed a firm operation to ensure public order and prevent street blockades during the usual retirees' march.
The Federal Police, Gendarmerie, and National Coast Guard acted according to the anti-blockade protocol, protecting the citizens' right to free movement.
However, the demonstration turned violent when far-left terrorists and hooded groups, who claimed to support the retirees' demand, attempted to block traffic by performing a "traffic light protest." At that moment, the Gendarmerie infantry advanced preventively to contain the overflow but was met with physical aggression. The terrorists used sticks, belts, and blunt objects, directly confronting the officers.

At the intersection of Rivadavia Avenue, another column of protesters attacked the law enforcement forces, causing new disturbances. The police were forced to use tear gas and deterrent elements to restore control.
