In an unprecedented event for Hispanic journalism, La Derecha Diario (LDD) was formally accredited in the White House press room, marking a turning point for alternative media seeking to make their way against the progressive hegemony. The confirmation came during the conference given by presidential spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, who not only answered each of the questions from the outlet's director, Javier Negre, but also gave explicit recognition: the Trump administration is "proud to have new voices" occupying a space historically monopolized by major left-wing media conglomerates.
From that privileged platform, Negre began his intervention by expressing gratitude for the welcome and emphasizing the importance of the White House opening its doors to media outlets that confront "fake news, the advance of communism, and woke culture." He then introduced one of the topics most silenced by the international press: the repression in Mexico during Claudia Sheinbaum's administration. He pointed out that the Mexican president has resorted to the use of public force to repress journalists and young people, and he highlighted the double standard of American media, which attack Trump for refuting falsehoods but remain silent in the face of abuses against the Mexican press.

Spokesperson Leavitt replied by highlighting what she considered "historic advances" in the bilateral relationship with Mexico. She stated that Sheinbaum has shown cooperation in security, border control, the fight against illegal immigration, and actions against the cartels. However, she was emphatic in clarifying that President Trump is committed to "taking additional measures" against transnational criminal organizations, a promise she described as firm and a priority within Republican foreign policy.
