In an unprecedented event for Hispanic journalism, La Derecha Diario (LDD) was formally accredited in the White House press room, marking a turning point for alternative media seeking to make their way against the progressive hegemony. The confirmation came during the conference given by presidential spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, who not only answered each of the questions from the outlet's director, Javier Negre, but also gave explicit recognition: the Trump administration is "proud to have new voices" occupying a space historically monopolized by major left-wing media conglomerates.

From that privileged platform, Negre began his intervention by expressing gratitude for the welcome and emphasizing the importance of the White House opening its doors to media outlets that confront "fake news, the advance of communism, and woke culture." He then introduced one of the topics most silenced by the international press: the repression in Mexico during Claudia Sheinbaum's administration. He pointed out that the Mexican president has resorted to the use of public force to repress journalists and young people, and he highlighted the double standard of American media, which attack Trump for refuting falsehoods but remain silent in the face of abuses against the Mexican press.

Spokesperson Leavitt replied by highlighting what she considered "historic advances" in the bilateral relationship with Mexico. She stated that Sheinbaum has shown cooperation in security, border control, the fight against illegal immigration, and actions against the cartels. However, she was emphatic in clarifying that President Trump is committed to "taking additional measures" against transnational criminal organizations, a promise she described as firm and a priority within Republican foreign policy.

When Negre mentioned the figures that major media avoid highlighting—150 journalists murdered in Mexico in recent years—Leavitt lamented the scant international coverage and assured that the administration strongly condemns these crimes. "We would like the world to talk more about this," she stated, in a phrase that exposes the contrast between Trump's security policy and the media indifference to violence in the region.

In a second intervention, Negre asked whether the White House foresees a special approach toward Mexico regarding drug trafficking, similar to the recently announced plan for Venezuela. The spokesperson replied that the president is evaluating new actions to curb the expansion of the cartels, organizations that, as she described, "control territories and condition governments."

LDD's time at the White House left two central conclusions: first, the consolidation of its presence as a disruptive outlet that unsettles traditional journalism; second, the exposure of the bias that covers up the Mexican crisis, where narco violence and attacks against the press do not receive even a minimal fraction of the coverage dedicated to criticizing Trump.

In closing, Negre announced from the White House that this Sunday he will premiere a program dedicated to combating "communism and the woke culture promoted by people like Soros", produced by Real America's Voice, UHN Plus, EDATV, and La Derecha Diario, in line with the cultural and political agenda reaffirmed by Leavitt.
