Deregulation in the RV market: what changes with the new measure
The Government simplifies the homologation of RVs, promoting more competition and better prices.
The national government continues its strategy to simplify bureaucratic procedures. This Monday, a provision was published aimed at streamlining the buying and selling of motorhomes in the country.
Federico Sturzenegger, Minister of Deregulation and State Transformation, explained the main objective. "Opening the market to small producers, which could eventually help reduce the prices" of these vehicles.

What changes with this new provision?
Until now, the production of motorhomes was controlled by a few manufacturers, as the state required these vehicles to be "approved" since 2014. Sturzenegger explained that this measure had favored a limited sector, preventing the participation of other smaller producers in the market. With the new provision, the approval process is simplified, and more manufacturers are expected to enter the market.
Impact on the motorhome industry
With the implementation of Provision 48/2025, the government aims to regulate the approval of motorhomes and trailers more accessibly.
Additionally, Sturzenegger announced that in the coming days a similar regulation for small motorhomes will also be published.

How does this affect consumers?
- Greater competition could lower the prices of motorhomes in the country.
- The simpler approval process will facilitate the entry of new producers into the market.
- Consumers will have access to a greater variety of models and prices.
