The arrest adds a new element to the investigation while Simón Alvarenga remains deprived of his liberty due to a case related to the illegal possession of a war weapon
The arrest is significant due to a statement the musician had made before the Justice. After being arrested, Alvarenga initially claimed that the gun found in the vehicle was not his property. He later expanded his version and stated that he carried a weapon because he feared for his life.
The case began on August 30, when Callejero Fino was traveling with another man in a Volkswagen Amarok without license plates in Villa La Ñata, Tigre.
During the procedure, the agents found inside the vehicle a Glock .40 caliber pistol with the serial number removed and a magazine with 12 rounds. The musician did not have authorization to carry the weapon.
After being taken to the prosecutor's office, he was charged with illegal possession of a war weapon and removal of the registration number. In his first statement, he denied being the owner of the pistol.
His judicial situation is also complicated by his criminal record. Alvarenga has a prior conviction related to a robbery committed when he was 20 years old, for which he was detained and later served part of the sentence under house arrest with electronic monitoring.
The judicial situation of Callejero Fino has added a new chapter. While the RKT figure remains detained since late August, the Justice has progressed on one of the statements made by the musician while trying to explain why he was carrying a weapon: he claimed he was receiving death threats.
In recent hours, the Buenos Aires Police detained Carlos Mauricio Fernández, known as “Mauri”, former representative of Simón Natanael Alvarenga —the real name of Callejero Fino— and pointed out by the artist himself before the Justice. The 39-year-old man was located in the Maschwitz Club gated community, in the Buenos Aires party of Escobar.
The investigation into the alleged intimidations is being led by prosecutor Cosme Iribarren, from the UFI of Benavídez. According to the information known so far, Fernández is being investigated in a case classified as “coercive threats”.
The arrest occurred after Callejero Fino identified his former manager as the person who allegedly threatened him. According to reports, Fernández worked as the singer's representative until 2021.
Following that complaint, various raids were carried out in Escobar and Ingeniero Maschwitz, including in a gated community and different shops. During the operations, in addition to making the arrest, investigators seized a cell phone and a Volkswagen Bora, items that were incorporated into the case file to determine if they are related to the accusations.
