According to reports from the National Ministry of Health headed by Mario Lugones, the distribution of the vaccines from the 2026 National Vaccination Schedule to the jurisdictions has already begun, which prevent infectious diseases and protect individuals and the community.
In this first stage, more than 3.4 million doses and nearly 3.5 million supplies were sent to the provinces to cover the first quarter of the year, with staggered planning based on real coverage data.
Mario Lugones and the importance of the new vaccination schedule
"The new schedule incorporates two relevant public health decisions: the start in January of vaccination against respiratory syncytial virus in pregnant women, in order to protect newborns during the period of greatest circulation of the virus, and the delivery of additional MMR vaccines to implement the new scheme that reinforces children's protection against measles, rubella, and mumps," Minister Lugones indicated.

"These measures involve greater investment and an additional logistical effort, which was made possible thanks to more efficient management of resources," he added.
"All the vaccines in the schedule are safe, are scientifically proven, and are free of charge. The Nation acquires and distributes them; the provinces are responsible for administering them," he concluded.
