Perro Primo was arrested with a weapon and marijuana: 'Don't you know who I am?'
The cumbia 420 singer was arrested at a vehicle checkpoint for speeding, carrying a weapon, and drugs
Joel Rivas, known as Perro Primo, was arrested in the Presidente Perón district, Buenos Aires. The arrest occurred during a routine police operation on Route 58, where the singer was driving at high speed in a Fiat 500 with a 27-year-old woman.
When the Buenos Aires Police officers signaled him to stop, the artist reacted angrily and exclaimed: "Why are you stopping me? I'm going home." However, the police noticed a strong smell of marijuana and proceeded to inspect the vehicle.
The arrest of Perro Primo
During the search, they found a .380 caliber Bersa Thunder pistol with eight intact bullets and a bag with 4.4 grams of marijuana among the singer's belongings. His companion also carried two marijuana cigarettes. As a result, both were apprehended for illegal possession of a weapon of war and violation of drug laws.

The helicopter incident in Pinamar
At the end of January, Perro Primo was involved in another controversy when a helicopter landed without authorization on a Pinamar beach. The pilot, Luciano Ventricelli, was transporting the singer for an impromptu show. During the descent, bills were thrown from the helicopter, causing a stir among tourists.
The unauthorized landing triggered a police operation and resulted in the pilot's suspension for 60 days. Perro Primo, far from hiding it, shared the moment on his social media with the phrase: "This is how a true rockstar arrives at his show."

Who is Perro Primo?
A key figure in cumbia 420, Perro Primo is one of the pioneers of the genre alongside his brother DT Bilardo. Since 2014, in a Morón studio, they experimented with a fusion of cumbia, reggaeton, trap, and Colombian cumbia, giving rise to this musical phenomenon.
Cumbia 420 gained popularity with artists like L-Gante,reaching millions of plays on platforms like YouTube and Spotify. Besides his musical style, Perro Primo established a distinctive image, characterized by sportswear, flashy rings, and a logo inspired by Hot Wheels.
"I was looking for a trademark that would set me apart. An artist needs good music, an unmistakable voice, and something that makes him unique. I stole the logo from Hot Wheels because I like crashes, and it turned out great," he explained in an interview.
With a career marked by irreverence and controversy, Perro Primo remains a central figure in the declining cultural and musical scene.
