The Argentine economic activity recorded a significant growth in June 2026, according to data from the Monthly Economic Activity Estimator (EMAE).
The INDEC reported that the economy registered a 2.7% expansion compared to the same month in 2025 and advanced 0.8% from May in the seasonally adjusted measurement.
The data also shows that the growth extended to the vast majority of sectors that make up the indicator. In June, twelve of the fifteen activities surveyed recorded positive year-on-year variations, while the year-to-date total reached a growth of 1.9%.
In terms of trend, the trend-cycle component of the EMAE, which allows for the analysis of the underlying dynamics of the activity level, increased by 0.2% month-on-month and accumulated 27 consecutive months of growth, resulting in the longest expansion cycle since that recorded between June 2009 and August 2011.

The sectors that grew the most
One of the main drivers of growth was the activity of Mining and quarrying, which advanced 15.6% year-on-year. This sector also had the greatest positive impact on the overall variation of the EMAE.
The mining expansion was followed by Agriculture, livestock, hunting, and forestry, which recorded a year-on-year increase of 4.6%. Together, both sectors contributed 1.1 percentage points to the 2.7% growth recorded by economic activity.
Among the sectors with positive evolution, Fishing also stood out, with a year-on-year increase of 247.6%. This was the largest percentage variation among the surveyed activities.
