Toti Ciliberto's emotional farewell: VideoMatch colleagues express their grief

The passing of Toti Ciliberto  at 63 years old left a profound mark on the Argentine entertainment world, especially among his colleagues from the successful show VideoMatch. The comedian, who gained great popularity in the 90s, was fondly and emotionally remembered by those who shared more than one stage with him.

On Tuesday, April 1, the sad news about Toti Ciliberto's death moved everyone. His emergency hospitalization due to an intestinal problem was the prelude to an unexpected outcome: an internal hemorrhage that led to cardiac arrest. The first to announce his passing was Larry De Clay,  who, visibly affected, dedicated heartfelt words on his social media: "This sadness is enormous. I have no consolation. Fly high, brother. We will miss you all our lives." The post was accompanied by a photo in which both appeared hugging and smiling, highlighting the closeness and affection that united them.

Pachu Peña also expressed his sorrow on social media, sadly remembering the comedian: "Rest in peace, dear Toti. What sadness." Through a similar message, other members of the show like Pichu Straneo and Fernando Ramírez shared their grief, remembering the friend and colleague who always had a smile and a positive attitude. Ramírez, with words full of affection, highlighted: "Totino of my soul. Brother of life. I miss you forever." Meanwhile, on his Instagram account, Pablo Granados also bid farewell with a black and white image of Ciliberto smiling.

Toti's mark on everyone's heart

The displays of affection were abundant.  Sergio Gonal, a colleague on VideoMatch, posted an emotional video remembering Toti in one of his most entertaining sketches."I want to remember you this way, dear Toti, always trying to generate the best," wrote Gonal, highlighting the comedian's kind personality. In a photo where both appeared hugging and smiling, Gonal added: "Thank you, Toti...  Always thank you for your quality as a person!" In another post, Mario Pergolini  joined the tributes by uploading an image of Toti in a picture frame with the message: "There are people who should be kept in a frame. I think Toti is one of them. Safe travels!"

José María Listorti,  who also shared many moments with Toti on VideoMatch, was deeply moved by his passing. In an interview on América TV, he recalled Ciliberto's advice when he was just starting on the show.  "Toti always had a word of encouragement, without knowing you, regardless of your age. He would tell us 'notice that the star likes this,'"  Listorti recounted, referring to Marcelo Tinelli, who was jokingly nicknamed "the star."

In his memories, Listorti also highlighted Toti's positive attitude. "I never saw him angry. He was always willing to make others feel good, always looking for the best in every situation," he stated. For him, the moments shared with Toti will always be a reason for gratitude and admiration.

Toti Ciliberto's departure leaves a deep void in those who knew him, both personally and professionally. But his colleagues, friends, and followers keep in their memory the moments of joy and the teachings of a man who always gave his best, both on and off the stage.
