The host shares the lie that made him feel the most embarrassed during his adolescence

Mario Pergolini dared to tell the most embarrassing lie he starred in during his adolescence. The confession is related to his time as a student, when he decided to invent a serious illness to justify his behavior at school.

Amidst laughter and embarrassment, Pergolini recalled how that lie backfired on him and how the situation left a mark on his life.

A difficult school

Mario Pergolini confessed that, in his adolescence, he had already repeated school and went to a technical institute that was not easy at all. In that place, the rules were strict and the environment tough: "I skipped school a lot," he said. But during one of those episodes of skipping, something unexpected happened.

At that moment, he came up with an excuse that only complicated things further: "I had to leave because I have a very serious illness", was his excuse to the supervisor.

The supervisor believed him and, to his surprise, the lie spread to the point that Mario's parents were called in to talk.

"They called me to the supervisor's office and I didn't know how to get out of there", Pergolini recounted. The lie had grown so much that he no longer knew how to face it. "I told my mom that I had an illness, and she believed it: it was a total embarrassment," the host confessed.

Finally, Pergolini was forced to face reality.  "My parents didn't know anything about this, and I felt terribly bad", he recalled. Years later, he still didn't understand why he had gone to that extreme.
