The Netflix series 'Adolescence' replaced a black murderer with a white child to appear more 'inclusive'
A major controversy has erupted on social media after images from the British Netflix series "Adolescense" became popular, in which a black murderer was replaced by a Caucasian child.
While it is well known that Netflix has a long history of replacing historical figures with actors who inaccurately represent them, the idea of altering reality has reached a new level.
The series focuses on the story of a real case, in which a 17-year-old black immigrant stabbed a girl to death in 2023. However, the producers of the series thought it was a good idea to replace the murderer in the programming with a teenager of another race.

To dispel some doubts that left-wing sectors wanted to sow regarding the inspiration of the series, the actor portraying the murderer, Owen Cooper, mentioned that the series and his performance were indeed based on the case.
After the images went viral, mainly through the social network "X", there was great outrage over the case, mainly due to the attempt to criminalize the white population for a murder committed by an immigrant.

The case that inspired the series
In September 2023, a black immigrant named Hassam Sentamu ruthlessly murdered schoolgirl Elianne Andam, who was only 15 years old. The horrific event occurred in the southern region of London, where Sentamu stabbed the young girl near a shopping center.
The most terrifying aspect of the case is Sentamu's prior history, who had already attacked and harassed several girls in the past, in addition to constantly carrying knives in public spaces. This series of antecedents materialized when the immigrant murdered the girl in front of other minors in an apparent dispute over a stuffed animal.
After being arrested, Sentamu pleaded guilty to manslaughter as part of his legal strategy. However, a jury rejected his plea and found him guilty of aggravated murder and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
The jury that rejected his guilty plea also rejected Sentamu's claims that his "autism" condition had affected his abilities to maintain control.
