Enzo Fernández praised Mastantuono's present and spoke about his desire to return to River.
The Chelsea midfielder called the young player a 'star' and commented on his potential return to Millonarios
Besides talking about his present in England, Enzo Fernández referred to River Plate, the club where he was born. In an exclusive interview with the Edul brothers, Esteban and Gastón, one of the Argentine National Team's key players mentioned the Millonario player who impresses him the most and confessed that he keeps alive the hope of returning to the Millonario someday.
When asked about Franco Mastantuono, Enzo was full of praise: "I see an unbelievable player, who is doing things very well and is showing a great level. He has a European future, you can see it when he plays at River because he always shows things. Let's hope he can also help us in the National Team. Does he have what it takes for the National Team? Yes, in my opinion, he's a star. I wish him the best and hope he can achieve all his goals".

The superclásico and his opinion on the club's present
True to his connection with the River world, Fernández also anticipated how he will experience the Superclásico against Boca this Sunday. "Little chair, mate, and a good snack. I'm going to watch it with confidence, of course. It's going to be close, but let's hope River wins", expressed the Chelsea player.
He also expressed himself as a fan and shared a critical view of the team: "River is struggling, it has been criticized for a while, I see the news and everything. That dynamic Marcelo (Gallardo) is looking for hasn't been found. I fully trust they will find it because they have great players. I know Marcelo as a coach and I know how demanding he is and how hard he works to give River the best. In a short time, he will find that dynamic".
"Marcelo is a great coach, I'm always grateful to him. We talk from time to time. He trusted me, he made me debut, so I fully trust he will achieve what he wants", the former River player elaborated.

His opinion on the current Millonario squad leaders
He was also asked about Enzo Pérez, whom he highlighted with admiration: "He was one of my greatest examples in football. When I moved up to the First Team at River, he was a very important flag for us, he guided us younger players to know the way".

"He helped me a lot day by day. In training sessions, he gave me advice and, when things weren't going so well, he hugged me and told me to keep working. He's a very special person, more than a teammate, a friend. An unbelievable professional who lives 24 hours for River. It's very gratifying to see him that way", added the player.
He didn't leave out another experienced leader in the current Millonario squad: "Franco(Armani)keeps competing, he has an unbelievable winning mentality and is also a very good person. We've shared a World Cup and Copa América in the National Team, and at River too. He's very humble and hardworking".

Enzo and his return to River
Regarding his desire to return to the club, he was clear: "First, I want to return to play in Argentina, at River, and live there too. As time goes by, a lot of things happen in between, but my idea has always been to return to play Argentine football, at River, and live in Argentina to be close to my friends and family".
"I would have liked to win the Libertadores with River, it's one of my greatest dreams", concluded the midfielder.
