In her first public appearance after her husband's assassination, Erika Kirk delivered an emotional speech filled with gratitude, determination, and tribute to the memory of Charlie Kirk.
During the ceremony, she especially thanked Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance, highlighting their closeness and support during these difficult times. "I want to thank my husband's dear friend, Vice President Vance, and his phenomenal wife, Usha, for their love and support. You honored my husband by bringing him back home," Erika said, referring to the transfer of Charlie Kirk's casket to Phoenix aboard Air Force Two.
Erika also expressed deep gratitude to law enforcement for their immediate efforts after the attack and for the protection provided to her family in the days that followed. "I want to thank the officers who have protected our Turning Point USA family these past few days," she said, also acknowledging the work of the organization's staff, especially Chief of Staff, Michael McCoy.

With great strength, Erika assured that Charlie Kirk's legacy will continue stronger than ever. She announced that Turning Point USA's university tours scheduled for this fall will go on and that there will be more in the future.
She also affirmed that Charlie's radio and podcast program will continue as well. "The cry of this widow will echo around the world as a battle cry," she proclaimed. "To everyone listening tonight in the United States, the movement my husband built will not die. I refuse to let that happen. We will not allow it. All of us will make sure it doesn't die."
