During the early hours of Monday, Fabián "El Melli" Galeano, one of the leaders of the Unión de Santa Fe's barra brava, was the victim of a violent shooting attack while he was in his vehicle. The shots hit the car, although he wasn't directly hit. In total, at least four shots were fired at the vehicle. Although Galeano wasn't hit by the bullets, he suffered minor injuries due to cuts from the broken glass.

According to the police report, the attack occurred around 4:30 at the intersection of Pedro Ferré and San Lorenzo, in the Barranquitas neighborhood of the city of Santa Fe. At that time, Galeano was returning home after leaving the Villa Dora club when he was intercepted.

The vehicle he was traveling in, a Peugeot 208, received at least seven bullet impacts in different areas, causing several windows to break. Despite this, Galeano managed to continue driving and reached the intersection of López y Planes with Pedro Díaz Colodrero, where he encountered police officers.

Who is Fabián "El Melli" Galeano?

Fabián and Adrián Galeano are twins and recognized as leaders of one of the factions of the Unión de Santa Fe's barra brava. For more than a decade, they have been involved in disputes with other sectors of the fan base, which could be linked to the attack that occurred in the early hours of Monday, which fortunately didn't result in any fatalities.

Another controversy with Unión's barra

At the beginning of the month, near the main headquarters of the Santa Fe club, a package was found that, after being inspected, was found to contain a stun grenade in good condition and a note with a threat to the board of directors. The names of the twins can be read on the paper with the message.
