In the case of 'La Rosadita,' Iliana Calabró's ex-husband claims illnesses and faces decisive hours

The case "La Ruta del Dinero K" progresses and leaves Fabián Rossi, ex-husband of Iliana Calabró, in a critical situation. After being convicted for his involvement in the "La Rosadita" operation, the Supreme Court of Justice is about to confirm his sentence, which could lead to his imminent detention.

Four years after receiving his sentence, Rossi faces decisive hours. The justice system had determined that he remain free until the highest court ratified his conviction, which could happen in the coming days.

The conviction and the imminent court ruling

According to journalist Mercedes Ninci on the show "A la Tarde" (América), Rossi was initially sentenced to a longer term, but after appealing, the Court of Cassation reduced it to four years and six months in prison. Now, with no more judicial instances to turn to, detention seems inevitable.

His health condition and the attempt to avoid prison

The businessman seeks to avoid prison by requesting house arrest. He argued health issues, including diabetes, mental disorders, erosive gastropathy, and the removal of basal cell carcinomas. However, the information was met with skepticism.

Last week, Rossi appeared at the Comodoro Py courts with his legal team. Supported by crutches after suffering a tendon rupture, he presented an image of vulnerability. But according to Ninci, his judicial situation is critical and his entry into prison seems imminent. "He should start packing his bag because he can't appeal anymore," concluded the journalist.
