Unbelievable: Two Spanish teams could be sanctioned for insulting Pedro Sánchez
Chants against the President of the Government were heard during the Real Oviedo - Real Madrid and Real Betis - Alavés matches
LaLiga once again filed complaints with the RFEF Competition Committee and the Anti-Violence Commission, in this case due to insults directed at Pedro Sánchez during the second matchday of the First Division. In the stands of Real Betis and Real Oviedo, an offensive chant against the Prime Minister was repeated, reflecting the growing discontent his figure generates.

In Seville, during the match between Betis and Alavés at the La Cartuja stadium, the report details that in the 53rd minute, a group of local fans chanted in unison "Pedro Sánchez, son of a bitch!", maintaining the chant for at least ten seconds.
Something similar happened in Oviedo, in a special context: the return of Carlos Tartiere to the First Division after almost 25 years. There, just before the start of the match against Real Madrid, local ultras displayed banners with the slogans "Los del 94" and "Ultras", accompanied by the same insult sung in chorus.
Los hinchas del Real Oviedo contra Pedro Sánchez
The list is part of the regular complaints that LaLiga, presided over by Javier Tebas, submits to the authorities with sanctioning power. However, beyond administrative formality, what happened reflects a climate of exhaustion and disapproval toward Sánchez that goes beyond sports.
The fact that in such different stadiums, with different audiences, the same chant against the head of the Executive is repeated highlights the loss of social support and the strong political polarization in Spain. For many fans, football has become a space for venting in the face of a government they perceive as increasingly distant from their real concerns.
