Father and son injured after a shooting attack in Cordoba

A violent incident occurred on Monday night in the Villa El Libertador neighborhood, in the southern part of the city of Córdoba. A 33-year-old man and his 14-year-old son were shot. The attack took place at their home located at 1600 Salinas Grandes Street.

Everything began minutes before midnight, when the teenager argued with two young men in front of his home. Shortly after, other people arrived at the scene. In that context, two of those present began shooting at the family home.

Armed attack and hospitalization of the victims

The minor was shot in the left shoulder, while his father was hit by a bullet in the left femur. Both injured individuals were taken to Príncipe de Asturias Hospital for immediate medical attention. They were later transferred to other healthcare centers, where they are recovering favorably.

According to medical sources, the young man remains hospitalized at the Children's Hospital and his father at the Emergency Hospital. Despite their injuries, both are out of danger. The professionals indicated that both patients are showing positive progress.

The strikers fled the scene without being identified by witnesses. Currently, the provincial justice system is investigating the events to determine responsibility. Authorities are also trying to clarify how the sequence of the attack unfolded.
