The FBI will assist in the search for the rebellious Democrats who fled Texas.
After a communication between Senator Cornyn and the FBI director, the federal agency will assist Texas authorities in the search for the rebellious legislators
The FBI will assist Texas in the search for the Democratic state deputies who fled the state in an attempt to prevent a series of bills from being passed by the Legislature last Tuesday.
The announcement was made by current Texas senator, John Cornyn, after he sent a letter to the FBI director, Kash Patel, requesting that the agency assist Texas state authorities in locating and then arresting the Democrats who are breaking the law.
"I'm proud to announce that Director Kash Patel has approved my request for the FBI to assist local law enforcement in locating the fugitive Democratic representatives from the Texas House," Cornyn said in a statement, where he also thanked President Trump for his cooperation.

The rebellious legislators have not yet returned and there is an arrest warrant against them.
The reason for the dispute and the subsequent escape of the opposition members is that a session was scheduled in the Legislature where the state's electoral redistricting was going to be discussed, an initiative that has Trump's blessing and could mean for the Republican state a greater number of seats in Congress.
This way, dozens of Democratic legislators escaped from Texas with the stated goal of preventing the necessary quorum for the debate on this redistricting law and others from beginning.
In response to this theater initiated by the opposition, Texas Republican governor Greg Abbott ordered the arrest of the legislatorswho still refuse to return to the state and filed a lawsuit to remove the president of the Democratic caucus, Gene Wu, who planned the escape.

The Democrats funded by Beto O'Rourke will be removed on Friday.
In his letter to the FBI, Senator Cornyn stated that "Abbott and Texas law enforcement are doing what they can within the limits of the law, but federal assistance may be necessary," since "these legislators have committed possible criminal acts in their rush to evade their constitutional responsibilities and must be fully investigated and held accountable."
Meanwhile, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has warned that he will begin to remove the Democratic legislators if they do not meet the Friday deadline set by the president of the Legislature.
It is believed that this poor display of political activism is being funded by Beto O’Rourke, who was once an important Democratic figure, but who has lost prominence in recent years.
