FIFA confirmed a favorable measure with a view to the Club World Cup. The world's top football organization formalized the opening of an exceptional transfer period exclusive to the 32 participating clubs.

This special transfer window will begin next Sunday, June 1st, and will extend until Tuesday the 10th, that is, four days before the start of the tournament.

According to the official regulations, June 10th will also be the deadline for each institution to submit their final roster of players, who may be included even if they were incorporated during that short transfer period.

This measure responds to FIFA's desire to "reduce as much as possible the differences between the registration periods and the calendars of the various national competitions of the participating clubs", as well as to "provide flexibility to the FIFA member associations in question".

Additionally, FIFA considered the issue that many player contracts end on June 30th, during the tournament. Therefore, it authorized a new instance of squad modifications, which can be made between June 27th and July 3rd, that is, between the end of the group stage and the start of the quarterfinals.

Regarding this point, the international body explained that "the goal is to encourage clubs and players whose contracts are about to end to find an appropriate solution that favors the participation of the affected players. This way, clubs will be able to add new players to the list during the tournament, allowing the best to play".
