FIFA confirmed the millionaire figure it will distribute in the Club World Cup
At the moment, the exact numbers each club will receive are not known, but the total amount is one billion dollars.
The Club World Cup, which will be played between June 14 and July 13, will have "unprecedented" prizes, according to FIFA in a statement following the approval in its Council of the final figure, which would be around 1 billion dollars and includes a provision for a solidarity mechanism dedicated to clubs worldwide that do not participate in the tournament.
This figure arises from the sale of television rights to the DAZN platformand more money will be added thanks to sponsors, some specific to the tournament and others historical that have joined FIFA for years, to ticket sales and marketing.
"The FIFA Club World Cup will not only be the pinnacle of club football but also a vivid demonstration of solidarity that will benefit clubs in general on a scale that no other competition has ever achieved," highlighted Gianni Infantino, president of the federation.

Of the 1 billion dollars, 575 will be based on participation and the other 465 on results in the tournament. This means that just for their presence, River and Boca could receive between 15 and 18 million, a figure far from the 50 million mentioned initially. The figure could rise to 25 million if they surpass the group stage and reach the round of 16.
Meanwhile, the solidarity fund would represent 15% of the total competition budget, around 150 million dollars, created with the aim of not causing imbalances within each Confederation between the teams that participate and those that do not.
Regarding the income caused by the tournament, Infantino highlighted that all will be distributed among participating clubs and those included in the solidarity mechanism, "as FIFA will not keep a single dollar".

At the same time, the Council also unanimously approved the 2024 Annual Report, which includes the budget revenue target of 13 billion dollars for the cycle covering the years 2023 to 2026. According to it, "almost 90 percent will be reinvested in the game to significantly boost football development".
Finally, according to the top leader, "FIFA's reserves, which are there for the development of world football, will remain intact". Additionally, the organization assures that, by 2026, they will have made available for football development the unprecedented amount of up to 5.1 billion dollars, since 2016.
