Formula 1 continues to expand its presence beyond the racetracks and has taken a new step toward the young and gamer audience: the category will officially join the Fortnite universe, one of the world's most popular video games.
According to F1 itself, the content will be available starting on Thursday, November 20, right before the Las Vegas Grand Prix, one of the most anticipated events of the upcoming season. The collaboration will include the "F1 Team Cosmetic Set," a bundle that will allow players to equip skins (with and without helmet), gliders, and pickaxes customized with the aesthetics of the 10 current teams on the grid.
Additionally, users will be able to unlock a Formula 1-branded backpack and a special emote designed to celebrate Victory Royales within the game, bringing the competitive spirit of motorsport to Fortnite's classic festive style.
The partnership aims for the millions of registered players in Epic Games' title to combine their two passions: video games and elite racing. The integration reinforces the category's strategy of reaching new audiences in non-traditional spaces, leveraging the virtual ecosystem of the battle royale to extend its global reach.
