The Argentine driver returns to race in F1 at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, after almost 5 months since his last race with Williams

The Argentine will represent Alpine in the Imola Grand Prix, corresponding to the seventh round of the world championship. The native of Pilar, will take the place of Australian Jack Doohan and was confirmed by the French team to compete in the next five races.

Colapinto had already had a first experience in F1 during 2024 with Williams Racing, but this will be his first competition as part of the official Alpine team. The return will take place at the Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola, located in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, an iconic track that has been part of the world circuit for 45 years.
Meanwhile, the Argentine driver will officially race again after his last appearance in early December 2024 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In that race, unfortunately, he had to retire after only 21 laps due to a collision with Oscar Piastri, which caused a puncture and general damage to his car.
