Google has started to incorporate several features designed for travel planning within the AI Mode of Search. Starting today, users can ask the chatbot for information about flights and hotels, and take advantage of tools that were previously limited to other sections of the search engine.
One of the most notable new features is the flight price tracker that comes from Google Flights. By indicating the destination and dates, the system shows options from over 300 airlines and travel sites. If asked to track the evolution of those prices, Google sends an email every time it detects a change in the price for that itinerary.
The company clarified that this tool is already available in all locations and languages where AI Mode operates, with the exception of countries and territories in the European Economic Area. This way, most users can activate tracking without additional steps.
Another improvement targets those traveling with mileage or points programs. It is now possible to check how much a flight or stay costs expressed in those reward units. The chatbot only needs the destination and dates to show the value in miles. In the case of hotels, it is enough to ask it to display the cost in points.

Loyalty Programs and Reservations
In the first stage, the display in miles or points works with options from Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines, Choice Hotels International, Hilton, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Google anticipates that soon Accor, Flying Blue, Hyatt, LATAM Airlines, and the Lufthansa group will be added.
In addition to price tracking and point conversion, AI Mode will allow users to complete a hotel reservation. After entering travel details and personal preferences, the system presents alternatives along with guest reviews. The purchase can be finalized with Google Pay.
This reservation capability will first launch in the United States and in English. Initial partners include Expedia, Marriott International, and Priceline. Google indicated that expansion to more markets and providers will occur in the coming weeks.
With these additions, the Search chatbot moves beyond merely answering general queries and begins to offer a more comprehensive flow for organizing a trip. From searching for options to monitoring prices and making reservations, everything is concentrated in a single conversation.
Users already using AI Mode will be able to try the new features immediately, as long as they are in an enabled region. The company did not detail whether there will be more tools of this kind in the short term, but the current approach shows a clear commitment to facilitating itinerary organization without leaving the conversational interface.
