The national government awarded eight national route corridors to private companies on Monday for a period of 20 years. This measure is part of the privatization process of Corredores Viales S.A. and was formalized through resolution 1379/2026 of the Ministry of Economy.
The decision, announced on Friday by Minister Luis Caputo, covers the Cuyo, Centro Norte, Noroeste, Chaco-Santa Fe, Litoral, Noreste, Centro, and Mesopotámico sections. With this award, the transfer of the last 3900 kilometers of the Federal Concessions Network, which traversed provinces such as Santa Fe, Córdoba, Entre Ríos, Santiago del Estero, Salta, Jujuy, Tucumán, Corrientes, Mendoza, Misiones, and Chaco, is completed.
The private companies will be responsible for the construction, operation, administration, repair, expansion, conservation, and maintenance of these corridors. They will also be able to provide services to users and develop complementary activities that generate additional income.
The scheme operates under the public works concession regime by toll, within the framework of Law 27.742, which declared Corredores Viales subject to privatization. Caputo indicated that work on these sections would begin at the end of September.
The winning companies and the offered rates
The Ministry of Economy awarded each corridor to the proposal that ranked first in the merit order. In the Centro section, the consortium formed by AFEMA S.A., Pablo Federico e Hijos S.A., and Guido Mogetta S.A. won with a rate of $1399 excluding VAT.
For Centro Norte, José Cartellone Construcciones Civiles S.A. was awarded with $2175 excluding VAT. The Mesopotámico was awarded to IEB Construcciones S.A. and Trading MRG S.A.U., which offered $3564.99 excluding VAT. In the Noroeste, it was awarded to Autovía Construcciones y Servicios S.A., Vapeu S.R.L., and Guigivan S.R.L. for $2285 excluding VAT.
The Litoral was awarded to JCR S.A. and Néstor Julio Guerechet S.A. with $2876.04 excluding VAT. The Noreste was awarded to Carlos E. Enríquez S.A. and Hormi S.A. for $2950 excluding VAT. In Chaco-Santa Fe, the group of José Eleuterio Pitón S.A., Rovial S.A., and Obring S.A. won with $3520 excluding VAT. Finally, the Cuyo section was awarded to Laugero Construcciones S.A., Green S.A., and Corporación del Sur S.A. for $3090.2462 excluding VAT.
In all cases, the concessions were granted for 20 years. The amounts listed correspond to the rates offered in the bidding and will not necessarily be the values that motorists pay at the toll stations.
Rejected offers and absence of challenges
The Evaluation Commission considered that the winning proposals met the conditions of the specifications and were the most advantageous for the public interest. Several offers were declared inadmissible or dismissed during the process.
The submissions from Lemiro Pablo Pietroboni S.A., Merco Vial S.A., and Frontera S.A. for the Centro Norte and Noroeste sections were deemed inadmissible. Proposals from INMAC S.A., Tecnoedil S.A. Constructora, and Rowing S.A.; CPC S.A.; JCR S.A. and Néstor Guerechet S.A.; Autovía Construcciones y Servicios S.A. and Guigivan S.R.L.; and José Cartellone Construcciones Civiles S.A. were also rejected, according to the corridors in which they had competed.
The Ministry of Economy noted that, once the report was published and the corresponding deadline expired, no challenges were presented against the evaluation carried out. Thus, the first stage of the process, which includes about 9000 kilometers of national routes under the new private concession scheme, comes to a close.
